Cheesy chicken breast cake
Ingredients
- min. 10-12 slice of chicken breast (it depends on the size of the dish you are using, and the portion you would like to make but approximately 2 slice per person)
- approx. 300-400 g half hard grated cheese (smoked and/or plain Edam type mixed, I like it very cheesy)
- flour
- 3 eggs
- 2-3 dl sour cream or cooking cream salt, pepper, nutmeg
- sliced bacon
Directions
Preheat the oven to 200 °C or 392°F. Spread some butter in the baking form, place the sliced bacon into the form, to cover the inside completely. Tenderize the chicken breast slices, season it with salt and pepper. In a soup plate place some flour, in another one beat up the eggs with a big pinch of salt, and the last plate place at the beginning 100 g grated cheese. It is worth placing the cheese into the bowl by 100 g because it will stick together from the eggs. So place the chicken breast first in the flour, cover it completely, then comes the eggs, then comes the cheese. Then place the slice into the form/tray, to fill it up evenly. When you have placed the last slice, then mix up the eggs with the rest of the cheese, salt, pepper, nutmeg and the sour cream (if it is to thick use some milk) the end result of the mixture has to be slightly liquid, so it would fill up the gaps between the slices. Cover the chicken with the rest of the bacon. Bake it until it is ready. As a side dish I would recommend as we call it french salad (cooked veggies with a mayo salad dressing)
