Summer is fading away, but we are still hoping for some warm ray of the Indian summer’s sun in between the rainy days. So there will be less and less fruits and veggies, so less and less variety in choices. Let’s see what we can get on the market.:
Vegetables: beans, broccoli, potatoes, beetroot, zucchini, walnut, cabbage, lettuce, black radish, onion, dill, kohlrabi, brussels sprouts, kale, chinese cabbage, corn, corn salad, almond, spinach-beet, eggplant, bell pepper, tomatoes, parsnip, parsley, leek, rocket salad, carrot, sorrel, spinach, marrow, cucumber/gherkin, spring onion, celery, green beans, peas
Fruits: apple, quince, water melon, pear, raspberry, peach, greengage, melon, strawberry, grapes, blackberry, plum
Szezonja van – Szeptember
Már elmúló félben van a nyár, de még reménykedünk az esős napok között az idián nyár melengető napsugaraira, így nem csoda, hogy a gyümölcsök/zöldségek is kifutóban vannak. Következő hónaptól, egyre kisebb lesz a választék e fronton. De nézzük, mire számíthatunk a piacon:
Zöldség: bab, brokkoli, burgonya, cékla. cukkini, dió, fejes káposzta, fejes saláta, fekete retek, hagyma, kapor, karalábé, karfiol. kelbimbó, kelkáposzta, kínai kel, kukorica, madársaláta, mandula, mángold, padlizsán, paprika, paradicsom, pasztinák, petrezselyem, póréhagyma, rukkola, sárgarépa, sóska, spenót, tök, uborka, újhagyma, zeller, zöldbab, zöldborsó
Gyümölcs: alma, birsalma. görögdinnye, körte, málna, őszibarack, ringló, sárgadinnye, szamóca, szőlő, szeder, szilva

I would like to get more and more people to eat seasonal and local food so we make a small effort for the environment 🙂

The weather has cooled off quickly here this fall. We can get a tonne of fresh apples and squash locally right now, and of course, soon we can pick up fresh pumpkins at the farmers’ market nearby too.
